The First ‘Post’
I spent some real time thinking about what to write as the first post. Some kind of self-intro? Some kind of mission statement? I don’t think there is a wrong answer, though thinking about it and writing it in the same effort is kind of silly – wouldn’t you agree?
So, uh… Hi. I’m Daniel. Welcome to the site. At the time of writing this, I’m 26 years young. I’ve got a weird mind and can spend countless hours droning about and analyzing things. Things including ideas, words, philosophical meanings, game analysis, efficiencies. Pretty much anything and everything. The examples I gave are by no means exhaustive. Any more words about it here and I’m belaboring the point.
If I had to give a mission statement for the site – it would be this. This is my own personal website to outline my life events, my thoughts, to practice my writing and to give an exhaustive account of my being. I’m gonna have a portfolio section for my personal projects which will involve blogs, bulletins, and documents that will (ideally) give anyone reading a good idea of what I am capable of. To that end, I’m also gonna include a resume page.
It feels a little cheesy; most people who use websites to showcase their work are in art. I have no artistic ability but I’m confident this website will showcase my value. I have my reservations about it’s success. Whatever the result, it will be something for me.
I hope that you take the time to read about my perspectives, thoughts, opinions, and ramblings. In return, I hope that I at least get you thinking just a little bit.
I’m surely not going to be breaking any new ground here. There is a good chance everything that comes out of my writing has been said before. Most of what I say comes from from my intrinsic values and understandings about the world around me.
There is a lot to talk about. Please join me! Even if it is only once, I will appreciate it.
